Job description:
Hello Network!

On behalf of our prominent pharma clients, we are on the lookout for native Norwegian freelance translators, proofreaders and LQA-ers, with a proven track record in the pharmacology and pharma packaging and labels (QRD/EMA
templates) industry segment.

• Language combination: English>Norwegian (native – as per our
ISO certification standards)
• Services:
1) Translation (charged per 1,000 new source words)
2) Proofreading (charged per 1,000 source words)
3) Linguistic QA (charged per hour) It includes:
 Reading through parts of the text against the source
(beginning, middle, end)
 Spellchecking the whole text
 Checking a verification report (Trados Studio and/or Xbench)
 Checking for consistency of terminology
 Filling in a succinct Quality Assessment Table

• Volumes:
 Steady manageable volumes
 Upcoming live projects
• CAT Tools: SDL Trados Studio (preferable, not an absolute
must)
• Subject matter and topics: Pharmacology | Pharma packaging and
labels | Dermatology/Aesthetics | Clinical trials, Instructions for Use (IFUs), Patient information leaflet (PILs), Summaries of Product Characteristics (SmPCs), SSCPs (Summaries of Safety and Clinical Performance), QRD/EMA templates
• Start date, Volumes and TATs for the upcoming pilot projects:
1. Two manageable live projects to ideally be allocated/tackled by
the end of the week (a slight extension can be discussed):
a. Project 1 1,533 new words (3,251 words total)
b. Project 2: 1,231 new words (1,368 words total)
2. An upcoming larger project of over approximately 40,000 words
per language at a later stage – to ideally be handled over the span of 3-4 weeks.

3) Your best-suggested rate per service or your confirmation of
the below steady-volume offerings. Let me know your thoughts:
4) Translation – EUR 80/ 1,000 new source words
5) Proofreading – EUR 20/1,000 source words
6) Linguistic QA – EUR 20/hour
7) Your earliest availability and provisional (weekly) output this
week and beyond for the above-outlined projects.
8) Your willingness to tackle a manageable free-of-charge
translation test (before or after the pilot projects), consisting of two short test pieces, of up to approximately 600 words combined.
