In TechLawDC's answer, "составление" is translated as a synonym for "заключение" (conclusion). I always thought they were two different processes: first составление, or writing/compiling/preparing, and then заключение, or conclusion/execution/entering into. I would like very much to hear how the rest of you understand this. Thank you.

Alex, I agree 100%... sometimes I get frustrated when the asker selects the "wrong" answer to award points. (Very often because they are translating into their non-native language - since I am a native English speaker, I translate only into English.) Sometimes I don't bother to participate if it takes more than a few seconds to come up with my answer. But on the other hand, I try to view it as an exercise for me - it's always good to expand one's vocabulary, and KudoZ questions are like little quiz questions to keep me sharp.
If you are well qualified and professional, decline offers for work at 1c per word! I decline several offers per week because I'd rather work only with clients who appreciate professionalism and quality, and let the "Walmart" translation customers get poor quality for low pay. I know my value - and so do you!

Yahhh , that sounds much better. To be honest, I was so tired to provide answers, enter into discussion on subjects I knew 100 %, and see that Asker accepted wrong answer instead, that I quit helping some years ago, despite of feeling good helping others, like yourself = Amy… It takes time to think, write, debate, and then yet answers chosen so often are below required criteria. Furthermore, people like me have to get at the very end 1c per word to correct some one else’s poor translation. No offence. But Projects Undertakes should be more honest about their abilities when taking projects offering a very low prices and at the end delivering very poor quality products to the Final Requestors… With all due respect.
