lay inserts singly (one at a time)

Presumably this has nothing to do with "dejtingprogrammet singel Lägg"...;-)

I only get this for bundling advert inserts with or into newspapers, which tells me I'd want more context to be sure. The wiki page may give you an idea, tho I've never heard the word quire...

To me the first 'lägg' (singellägg) is different than the second 'lägg' (läggen som blir ca 10 cm höga), which reminds me of the jokes we could make about a technical translation of 'lägga upp' components in a business system. the sentence is an attempt, but like I said, I'd want to see the entire context.
Example sentence:

lay inserts singly (one at a time) to make bundles approx. 10 cm high and 50 spines at a time facing the same direction.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks Deane. I used something similar in the end - "Stack each section individually with roughly 50..." The phrase "flera lägg i en bunt" showed up later. I used "section" for lägg and "bundle" for bunt."
