I did right by myself/I did myself right/good. I moved up in life.

In the US, "to do right by someone" is common in informal speech (especially in the South). Given the context (of a prostitute and a pimp), I think it might be a really good option for the first part.

With all due respect to fellow prozians, I don't see how some of the suggestions that have been posted (thus far) could be considered slang (or even informal or non-standard language). Indeed, at least one of the suggestions includes the present perfect tense (CORRECTLY CONJUGATED), which might be rare, to say the least, in this particular context. In fact, in the US, many speakers of non-standard varieties of English, often use the past participle even though prescriptive grammar rules would require the use of the simple past, e.g., "I seen him the other day" (instead of "I saw him the other day").

Thus, another option, which would conform to this often-seen, non-standard usage, would be "I done right by myself" (instead of "I did...").

FINAL SUGGESTIONS (in the context of slang):

Me dei bem = I done right by myself/I done myself right/good.
Subi na vida = I moved up in life/(Now) I'm better off (now).

I hope this helps!

Well that makes a big difference....
I would then suggest more like this:

***I turned out just fine. I've moved up in life.***

about what I have proposed before but with a bit more 'every day' in it.
Note from asker:
The "slangest" it can get. It's a prostitute talking to her ex-pimp.
