Comment: "Hi Maria Luisa. I managed to figure out that the names of the birds had been slightly misspelt in the original text. They should have read "zarro" and "borrelho". I found them in this excellent glossary: http://www.bsc-eoc.org/avibase/avibase.jsp?pg=home&lang=EN. I'm really annoyed that I spent so long looking for the wrong thing, and wasted your time... sorry about that! The translations are "pochard" (zarro) and "plover" (borrelha).
