In a Portuguese contract I am not sure what abonara means. The context is lawsuits filed by or against the Contractor by or against the Job Owner:

O Subempreiteiro abonará ao Empreiteiro as quantias necessárias para que liquidem todas as despesas relacionadas com a defesa da reclamação
