"Når det gjelder relevans for arbeidsliv, kan uttalelser fra Råd for samarbeid med arbeidslivet, aktuelle avtakerbedrifter, kandidatundersøkelser eller lignende, brukes i redegjørelsen for å understøtte at studiet er relevant for arbeidslivet."
"Purchaser", "customer" or "consumer", often used for "avtaker," are in a literal sense a description of what these firms are doing in the labor market, but they are hardly appropriate in the context.
If you come back with evidence of some trendy use of one of those, please bring along a dose of tran to hide the taste as I swallow it. :-)

I would simply use an expression like that.

Thank you! Yes, in the US, definitely. (I still feel one hires vehicles and equipment, but recruits or employs people.)
