Dear Eliza, "uniformed staff" as Peter suggests is the correct translation in this context. Customer service staff may no uniformed. Banks have two types of customer service staff, the uniformed staff (counter staff, security officers) and non-uniformed staff (such as employees dealing with customers privately for specific requests, such as the opening / closing of various accounts, investments etc.

"I think the company's strongest asset is its human resources and, mainly, its uniformed staff" is perfectly appropriate. It doesn't seem odd to me at all, because I have lived in countries where it is very usual for bank staff to wear uniforms. I would stick with the term "uniformed staff", because in many banks the customer service staff are not the only people who wear uniforms.

What troubles me is not the reference to bank staff wearing uniforms but whether referring to them as "uniformed staff" is clear enough. "I think the company's strongest asset is its human resources and, mainly, its uniformed staff" - does that sound at all odd to you? It seems to me that by "uniformed staff" he's referring to employees with a specific role, namely, to customer service staff (it is clearly a specific subset of the employees that he considers an asset of the company, as he differentiates them from the rest of "human resources"). In that case, wouldn't it be better to translate it as "I think the company's strongest asset is its human resources and, mainly, its customer service staff" ?

If you Google “uniform staff in Barclays bank” , and select, images, you will see the types of uniforms worn by the categories of staff that wear them.

The security officers in banks often assist customers by helping them in various ways. They wear uniforms. Also, in some large banks, the counter staff (cashiers, tellers, etc.) wear uniforms, so I think "uniformed staff" is appropriate.
