After plenty of feedback, I realise that I should have made the following more clear:
The Doppler effect causes a shift in frequency, so the best translation would be Doppler shift, or maybe something along the lines of shift caused by the Doppler effect if this is needed to fit the sentence.

: To me, "offset" suggests that the shift is constant and systematic or intentional, so I'm not sure that it works in this specific context (décalage variant).
