French term

PF crédit burnup

French to English Tech/Engineering Nuclear Eng/Sci PWR fuel cycle studies
I know what crédit burnup means (burnup credit in English), but can't fathom out the "PF". Any ideas? I've asked the client, but so far no response.

The term occurs as the title of the last column in a table of isotopes. The columns are headed, respectively,

Masse - Puissance résiduelle - Sources de neutrons - Activités - Radio-toxicité - PF crédit burnup

and all the entries are isotopes of elements ranging from tritium to curium.

Discussion

Herbmione Granger Jul 22, 2017:
Hi Claude, You're welcome. I'm pretty sure of PF=FP, since ph-b suggested it too, but I'm not as sure about the whole term 'PF crédit burnup' (confidence more of a 3/2). I figured burnup results(?) would be %'s and not isotopes...

Thanks to both of you, I'm sure it's that.
ph-b (X) Jul 22, 2017:

<p>There is a definition of PF (produit de fission) on p. 26 here : http://www.iaea.org/inis/collection/NCLCollectionStore/_Publ... hope it means something to you because needless to say that I don't understand a thing. :-)

Fission Products (FP) in credit burnup evaluation

PF = Produits de fission > Fission Products (FP)

The list of isotopes would be relevant to a credit burnup evaluation/analysis.
