French term

Accrochez vos (mises) amplis !

French to English Art/Literary Music
Dear all,

I thought I would ask you, clever community, to help me find a way to translate this play on words into British English.
It is the last phrase of a small paragraph describing a loud rock band.
It will be aimed at festival goers or music aficionados.

In French, a 'mise en pli' is a hairdo, and there is a play on words with 'ampli', which is a music amp.
So far, I have thought of 'be prepared to amp-haired by the music' which is not great... Anything with words related to sound can work.

I know, that is a tough one... But a fun one too! Any ideas?
Thank you very much,
Luna

Also The main goal here was that, on top of everything, I wanted something short and catchy. That is why I thought 'Hold on to your curls' was the best option :)

Thanks! Thanks everyone for your great answers :)
I think the main idea was 'hang tight', as a result I went for an answer that Sandra & Kenneth provided and then erased: "hold on to your curls!"

I feel like it was closest to the meaning, and also conveyed the fact that their music is not for people with a clean haircut: 'mise en pli' or 'curls'.
Thanks!

Pump up the volume of your hair!

Shampoo adverts constantly talk about 'giving your hair more volume'.
Peer comment(s):

agree katsy : Love it! You could even eliminate the "of your hair" I think!

Amplify your hair!

Why not just amplify your hair? Snappy and conveys the rock music theme...
Peer comment(s):

neutral Charlie Bavington : It sounds like they're in for a blast of hair metal (Poison, LA Guns, Motley Crue, etc.) and EDM are *not* that kind of band at all. I don't know much about anything much but I do know my heavy rock/metal :-)

Might as well face it, you're addicted to amps

I'm not sure how well you can get a "hair" and "amp"/"volume" reference in there without making it sound all hair metal (not that there's anything wrong with hair metal, no sir, but Eagles of Death Metal are not it) and as if, in some undefined way, you've misinterpreted something.

I did think of pump up the volume (on the volume theme) but the song and the reference are old and a bit of a cliché and arguably not appropriate to the band (although I did spend a Saturday afternoon in a rock pub in Huddersfield many many moons ago and seemed to listen to nothing else apart from MARRS' only single...!)

So I think you need to go outside the box a bit. Some kind on play on an album or track title seems in order. The above is (almost) one, referencing the band's cover of "Addicted to Love" - if you go down this route the world is your oyster!
Note from asker:
Thank you for your great insight! I went for something a little shorter in the end, as i wanted something catchy and snappy. Indeed, I did not want to go into the 'hair metal' thing... But thanks a lot, and great to meet a fellow rocker ;)
