French term

visa B.E.

French to English Bus/Financial Management
Found at the foot of a quality insurance document relating to test procedures. I presume that this is a managerial function or department but can't think what the initials are for.

Discussion

Steve Yates (asker) Dec 28, 2005:
I did wonder about the possibility of it being a person's initials. However, the adjacent box is 'visa A.Q.', which has to be the Quality Assurance department, leading me to think that B.E. is also a department. Best to check with client though, as you say.

bureau d'études

C'est souvent le bureau d'études qui dispense ce genre de document. Mais il est difficile de déterminer si ces initiales correspondent à un service ou à une personne

agree French Foodie : Sounds most logical! Although it could very well be the person's initials, too. I think Asker needs to confirm this with his client.

Thanks and Happy New Year too!
agree Tony M : I've often come across these 2 terms used together like this with 'visa', so I think you can be fairly sure it's safe
