Law (general)
When X refused to pay Y, Y "a assigné celle-ci en référé provision". If I understand correctly, an urgent application was brought to obtain payment of a fee but am wondering whether there is a neat expression for this in UK English.

Y motioned for a summary judgment be in the case against X
Hello,
"assigner en référé" to motion for a summary judgment against XXX
The "provision" part means (I think) that the the summary judgment has to do with someone being ordered to pay what it is owed.

Typo: not "BE" in my aswer above.
It should read: Y motioned for a summary judgment in the case against X
