Si une face bestiale, rude et crue peut se cacher derrière les apparats de la plus pure sophistication féminine, on peut compter sur X, 37 ans et du chien à revendre, pour la mettre en pleine lumière.
I only find translation of "avoir du chien" meaning "she has a little something". But I feel here it means she is a tough girl.

X has certainly got what it takes
A safer solution than assuming this refers to sex appeal. It might just mean that she has enough audacity, for example.

Sheila Wilson
: With the added context, it certainly sounds as though this would be appropriate

: It certainly seems better than to rely on charm or sex appeal for the meaniing. Note that the text says she's hiding behind "la plus pure sophistication féminine". So it would seem to apply to what she's hiding, not the facade she's hiding behind.

Quite right. Thanks for pointing that out.

sexy as hell
I think it's just saying she's pretty damn gorgeous, but maybe with a slightly dangerous edge:
avoir du chien
http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/avoir_du_chien
So you've got lots of options. I suggest the "as hell" to give it a slight edge. Plus it's a formula easy to use in your sentence: "37 years old and sexy as hell". But there's lots of others you could use here...
Can we know who she is or is it confidential?

With sexiness / sex appeal to spare
i.e, more than enough sex appeal, she could lose some of what she has and still have too much.

Oozing with style
Genelia D'Souza walks in with style dressed in all black and looking too hot to handle.
'Charm' is too... charming. 'Style' was the idea. And it's obvious from the caption that 'oozing with style', like the French expression, can also hide lust ('too hot to handle').

Now here's a woman (poor little rich girl Paris Hilton) who is said to have "de l'allure":
http://people.premiere.fr/var/premiere/storage/images/public...
Caption: "Avouez qu'ainsi, elle a de l'allure !"
It is actually the same thing, and the captions could be swapped. Both have, as is mandatory for having "du chien", high heels and their nose up.
See in the link of the second photo: "sexy mais pas vulgaire". This is still a little vulgar, actually. You cannot really say it about a classy woman, and you cannot say it directly to a woman without showing your lust.
"Elle a du chien" means "she is sexy", but without directly saying it, it is only implied.
