This is part of an appeal application and the appellant is asking for the payment of its costs under the Civil Procedure Code, but I cannot understand the sentence construction. There appears to be a verb missing (pay?):
"Condamner les défendeurs en tous les frais et dépens distraits au profit de (sic) par application des dispositions de l’article 699 du NCPC,"
The nearest I've come is:
"To order the defendants to pay all costs and expenses on behalf of (sic) by application of the provisions of Article 699 of the New Civil Procedure Code,"
But when I look up "distraits", I've found that it sometimes means "misappropriated" so I'm well confused.
Can anyone demystify me pls?
Thank you!
