Note that 'card' is more common in the US, and 'board' in the UK, EXCEPT where it concerns boards fitted into, for example, a computer, where 'card' is commonly used in the UK too: VGA card, sound card, etc.
If this is a PCB (...board, note!) fitted to the valve, or at least, locally at its location, then in BE we'd probably be more likely to use 'board'.
