it is actually the normal use of sensitive skin. It is a marketing brochure, so your answer can fit in the contest.
Karen Tkaczyk Mar 2, 2006:
I have just reread the second sentence. If aspect means appearance here then I would stick with sensual. I don't think an appearance can be sensory, can it?
Karen Tkaczyk Mar 2, 2006:
I think you could use sensory in this second example but that sensual would be OK too. Perhaps they are focusing on people's skin actually feeling more sensitive rather than the normal use of sensitive (skin over reacting etc). Can you find out?
mireille aboumrad (asker) Mar 1, 2006:
To Karen I agree with you, they might mean sensual, but the term comes back again "Pour ce type de produit, l’aspect sensoriel est très important: la sensibilité de la peau étant souvent liée à un stress extérieur"
What do you think?

smoother, more pleasant to the touch

Along the lines of Karen's thoughts, I have found that with this type of translation, not only do you have to consider linguistic possibilities, but also the demands of marketing. In other words, if you read it, what would make sense to you as a consumer? Or, from a more professional viewpoint, what do you think they want you to understand (still as a consumer)? It kind of depends on the specific product, and the effects it is supposed to produce.

sensual

Strrictly speaking this means sensory, but here I think they are hinting at sensual.
...softer and more sensual textures...
