French term

rupture/coupure de flux applicatif

French to English Tech/Engineering Computers: Hardware Computer architecture
In context: Le dispositif frontal à mettre en place se situe en rupture de flux applicatif. The same phrase appears with coupure replacing rupture. Do they mean the same thing? ... and what would that be? I get the front end and the application data flow stuff, but would be guessing at anything else.

across the application flow

I think this means that the front end is located between the player and the operator, intercepting the flow. I found this reference which seems to fit.
Example sentence:

The invention relates to a device for maintaining an address translation table that is arranged across a flow between a terminal and a third-party entity in a telecommunication network
