"Startup" or "Start-up"
I think you can often translate this expression with "installation", but it doesn't quite mean the same thing, and is not appropriate in this case, as shown below:
(This is not quite the same context, as they are refering to nuclear reactors, but here is another term used to translate that expression):
"mise en exploitation start-up, commissioning"
[PDF] jltc.army.mil/jltc/fbis/fnu.pdf
but here are other examples, more appropriate:
"Hardware services include:
Hardware installation
Hardware installation and startup "
http://vcmproapp02.compaq.com/ActiveAnswers/Global/en/soluti...
"Harware Installation and Startup: A full range of hardware configuration, staging, and installation and startup services."
www.compaq.com/services/software/ss_linux.html
" Smart solutions for taking time, worry, and risk out of hardware and software deployment
Save time and hassles with one-stop shopping for all your installation and startup needs. "
www5.compaq.com/services/management/ms_installation.html
And here is another spelling (several more examples on the Net):
"CarePaq Installation and Start-up Services ensure that your system is set up the way it should be. "
http://www.compaq.co.nz/carepaq/itms.asp
Hope this helps.
