French term

'a terminaison isocyanate

French to English Science Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng polyurethanes
"...que l'on peur utiliser pour fabriquer les poyuréthannes 'a terminaison isocyanate..."
Actually, "terminaison" is what's giving me trouble.

I think I'm too much of a grammarian this time, but I'll leave the link. Something I always had wondered about...

terminal isocyanate

Another possibility: " ... polyurethanes having a terminal isocyanate." - Ockam's razor and
terminal is the word I come across most in the literature.
Further, I think there is a typo in the french version - it seems to me that poyurethanes really should read polyurethanes.
Also, I might use "endings" as an alternative word to add variety.

chemical name databases

the IUPAC site includes a structure search

You might find the Merck Index useful if you can find it at, for example, a local library

When I was doing research I used the SigmaAldrich catalogue a LOT - it has common names, synonyms, structures and molecular formulae etc
