I think once we sort the parsing out, the underlying meaning becomes immediately clear.
One may assume that this turret housing the staircases is in the included angle of the 2 buildings in what appears to be an L shape, though of course it might equally well be the external angle (but I somehow doubt it) — I feel sure if the context included the actual building in question, it would be easy to find images to confirm or infirm.

: 2 secant bldgs at right-angles to each other, with the stair turret where they joint - like a door hinge relative to the frame and the fully open (90°) door.

: Are you sure, Yolanda? Please take a look at my suggestion too... Not sure the 'à' is stray, I think it's more likely a 'missing' comma before 'avec'...?

It needs to be read as:
"deux corps de logis en équerre" and "avec la tourelle d'escaliers à l'angle des bâtiments"
This structure and punctuation are (unhelpfully) common enough in FR.
