English term

earthed to the supply

English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng banknote counting machine
"The machine is of metal construction and ***must therefore always be earthed to the supply***. Ensure that both the plug on the supply lead and the supply source are earthed."

(English text of Swedish origin)

..earth connection connected to the supply?? does this make "electrical sense"??

Thanks!

agree Tony M : Yes, it's not brilliantly expressed, but basically means it must be connected to the same earth as the incoming supply (and not, for example, by some separate, external earth connection)
