Yes, it should be "guarantee" or "allow for".

This may be a yawning gap in my knowledge of computers, but for me there's something distinctly odd about this sentence; either 'grant' is an odd choice of verb, or maybe there is some text missing — 'grant' might be expected to be used with 'access'
