French term

voudrait

Non-PRO French to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
What's the sense of 'voudrait' (que + subj) here? Suggests, dictates? I'm having trouble phrasing the whole sentence fluently so it would help of I could get off on the right foot! Brochure about all aspects of cotton. In recent years there's been a downturn in world cotton consumption in favour of synthetic textiles, but cotton is fighting back.

Text intended for a wide audience.

In the economist: Common sense suggests that when a firm issues shares, it may be a negative sign about the market’s level—because it means that outsiders are willing to pay more for a piece of the business than insiders think it is worth.
