I usually work at different places in my appartment depending on the job: translation at my desk, edition or proofreading at the dinner table. More rarely, I take my laptop and work at my balcony...

At home, I work exclusively at my desk. I prefer a large screen and a comfortable office chair. Travelling is a different matter, however. I may work at a desk, a table, on the sofa or on the bed.

I never work outside
May 24
For privacy reasons, concentration, personal habits, and other issues. I am more comfortable, and secure working on my desk, in my room with doors and windows locked.

Mostly stationary
May 24
I rarely really need a change of scenery per se, but I do like working on the patio when the weather is nice so that summer doesn’t completely pass me by. Downside being that I need to double check my work back at my desk since my laptop screen isn’t terribly well suited to sunlight. Some jobs I have to do on my main PC regardless because of single-install software licences or various tools or authentications I don’t have set up on my laptop.

Where is your favorite "secondary" workspace when you need a change of scenery?
May 25
I have my office, but I sometimes opt for a natural environment like garden.
I have got a specific place at my garden.
That's all depend on the deadlines of the tasks I am working on.

I tend to change my home with local library, where there are computers and a printer. They have internet access and MS Office installed, nothing fancy but usefull.

May 25
I recently bought a laptop and installed all my software on it, thinking that I can do some work elsewhere as well. But: I'm less than a quarter as productive in a café or on the train as I am behind my real desk.

A wonderful change of scenery
Jun 2
I don’t really have a secondary workspace, I have my own office at my place.
Sometimes I just take my laptop and move to the living room for a change of scenery.
I’ve never really worked in a different place, except for one year when I went to Egypt and had to work, but I kept the room windows open and this was a wonderful change of scenery. 😊
