I grew up bilingual (Spanish/Catalan) and have a near-native proficiency of English. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Philology from the Universitat de València (Spain) and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Texas at Austin (USA). I started working as a full-time translator and editor in the United States, where I lived for over 7 years.
My expertise is in Literature and Linguistics, Cinema, and educational publishing, but I also have experience working in Science and Social Sciences, as well as Travel writing.
Having studied and worked in the US for many years, and particularly by way of my work as a bilingual editor, I am very familiar with dialectal variations of Spanish (Latin American vs. Spain's regionalisms). As a trained linguist and through my personal experiences living in the US and the UK, I have an appreciation for cultural and linguistic idiosyncrasies, which I regularly draw upon in my work.
