What about your political correctness in using such a word?

Wenjer,

Really. You're just embarrassing yourself again and again.

My last words on this Sep 30, 2008

Wenjer,

Sincerely, let's call it a truce.

Now you understand where I'm coming from, I hope.

Try to be nicer to others and others will be nice to you in return.

Peace.

Really! Sep 30, 2008

Steve,

Do you really believe that you are the only one who is competent in English? Do you believe that I don't know what "lame" means? I was asking about your political correctness because of the connotation of the word. You know exactly what "lame" means originally, don't you?

Be assured, I am always nice to people when they are not ugly to me or others. This is a place where people may differ. How you and your fellows do to others is just outrageous. That is why I do

I will stay and see who is recognised as a contributing member in this community. Definitely not the ones who exercise authorities unduely.

Sorry, I really don't think your English quite passes the pass/fail test in my book. You had plenty of opportunity over the years to demonstrate to your fellow translators your English competency. Unfortunately, sometimes when people are too conceited and think too highly of themselves, they end up burning themselves. That's what I meant by 自己坑自己. You might be very competent at bidding for jobs and distributing the jobs among different colleagues to get the work done, but that is the work of a PM. I personally like to call a spade a spade.

BTW, I don't have any alliances here. There are no "me and my fellows" in existence. They are all in your imagination. I just give my honest opinion on different things. Your outrageous behavior towards others just happens to be one of them.

I like everyone in this forum, including you. But I don't condone some of things that you did and many things that you said.

Just in case there is an investigation Sep 30, 2008

Wenjer Leuschel wrote:

Everyone has some skeletons in the closet. 根据维基的解释:Skeleton in the cupboard, or closet, is a colloquial phrase used to describe an undisclosed fact about someone which, if revealed, would have a negative impact on perceptions of the person. "Cupboard" is usually used in British English and "closet" in American English.

How to create a credit card slave? Let someone have his credit cards to push up his outgo above his income for a period of time! He will soon be a credit card slave whose further income goes into paying off the never ending story. 卡奴就是这么来的:看到“好东西”就忍不住要刷一下,但其实买的几乎没有一项是有用的好东西。这有点像感情的奴隶:见色忘义,把自己给卷入没完没了的麻烦。我发现,大多数的卡奴在感情生活上也是缺乏节制的。香港那个B嫂“血拼”的结果,把阿B在财务上和感情上都给B了。
