I haven't had a single private client in my almost 20-year freelancing career. I don't target them and I don't plan on targeting them in the future. I know that work is work, but they might cause trouble I don't have at all with my professional clients (unverifiable E-mail addresses to begin with).

No idea - an average is meaningless Feb 11

I do not often work for private clients, but the exceptions are typically non-profit projects or businesses, so I do the job for free.

Do colleagues count? They may pay immediately, but as a rule they have to get their money in too, so typically they pay after about 25-29 days.

odd question from a logical perspective Feb 11

"how long does it take you" is somehow inconsistent with "getting paid by private clients".
I'd rather say: how long does it take _for_ you to get paid by private clients? Or am I off base?
