Translating to an exceptional standard

My professional background has been based on INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS EXPORT and MARKETING in Barcelona. This has led me to specialize in this field, and I currently work on a freelance basis translating from Catalan and Spanish into English, combining business translation and export knowledge. I have worked closely with multinational companies in these areas, however I also enjoy using my language and marketing expertise by helping small and medium sized companies to find a window into the international marketplace.

Thanks to my creative style of writing, I especially enjoy journalistic texts, articles, business and marketing current affairs, often publicity and advertising, as well as webpages and tourism, among many other creative-style translations. I have exceptional expertise in finding the right tone and natural flow to my translations, adapting them into comprehensive English, of a publishable level. I enjoy giving the same flavour to the translation as the original, which has also led to my keen interest in the subtitling field.

The importance of having a profound knowledge in the material you translate cannot be emphasized enough. I have a wide familiarity with sport related texts, especially in the fields of triathlon, running, swimming, and tennis. I have worked closely with professional federations and some athletes in these fields.


British grammar-school educated with a combined BA (hons.) degree, and solid cultural background assures that my written English is flawless. I am trilingual in English-Spanish-Catalan (with English mother-tongue).
