» Translating Words without Counterparts in the Target Language

This text discusses the problems and possible solutions that arise when words do not have an existing counterpart in the target language. In this case, I, as a translator, encountered difficulties because words that denote parts of fortification used in an English novel could not be translated easily because such fortifications with the mentioned parts did not exist in Macedonia, so the target language does not contain them.
