Hi all,
Does anybody know if there's such a thing a multilingual SAP glossaries? Those from Microsoft are just brilliant to find out what the Control Panel is in German, etc., but I have an SAP related project and I'm stuck for terminology.
Thanks for any tips!

Ask SAP Apr 26, 2005

Hello,

if you work for SAP, you can get a bilingual Multiterm database.

Another possibility is the use of the SAP Term system.

I believe that there is no other free resource for the qhole SAp terminology.
Maybe you customer can give you access to the terminology.

With kind regrds

Hans

SAP Multiterm CD Apr 27, 2005

Hi Mike,

I've had the same problem as you as I translate a Spanish SAP based product back into English for a SAP Partner.

Within SAP R/3 there is a terminology database, in the transaction SE63 (Translation Environment) but it's far from complete.. It contains the English and German terms with fairly good definitions but no other languages (apart from the occasional term).

Hi Mike,

Within SAP R/3 there is a terminology database, in the transaction SE63 (Translation Environment) but it's far from complete.. It contains the English and German terms with fairly good definitions but no other languages (apart from the occasional term).

What is available is a CD of SAP's Multiterm database, produced in 2002 that runs of Microsoft Windows.
It contains the following languages: Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

(See SAP Note 565591)

It's available to customers, partners and agencies online at www. sap.com/shop : Material number 500 55 535 price 100€

Otherwise there's a complete English glossary:

Hope it helps,
Lydia

Hi,

You can try to buy a SAP multilingual terminology on CD at www.sap.com
1) Go to: Our Company > SAP Shop > SAP Knowledge Shop
2) In this Shop, go to: General > Others (Select SAP terminology CD). It costs Euro 116 (Don't know how much shipping costs).
