Bio

Hi, Jeremy here!

I'm an English/French to Spanish video game and web content translator. After getting degree in "English Studies: Language and Culture" in 2019 through UNED, I decided to further my studies and completed a master's degree in "Translation and Technologies" at UOC. Subsequently, I specialized in "Video Game Localization" through Traduversia.

My education allowed me to gain experience in the field of localization. Thanks to the mini-master's program at Traduversia, I had the opportunity to work on several projects, including the localization of various open-source titles such as The Battle for Wesnoth, Relic Hunters Zero, OpenSonic, and Warsow, among others. I have also translated several websites and work as an interpreter in sports events and trainings with customers such as HP (Hewlett-Packard).

Thanks to my education and experience in various areas, I have developed the following skills:

Proficiency in CAT tools, primarily Trados, OmegaT, Memsource (Phrase), and Poedit, as well as the creation of glossaries and translation memories.

  • Competence in Office suit, HTML, tag and variable management (addressing gender-related issues), image localization using Paint.net, and language encoding management to resolve issues stemming from an inadequate internationalization.
  • Additional skills include text proofreading and query reports to developers.

I am seeking to expand my expertise through ambitious projects related to video games translation/localization , web content and subtitling.

Thank you for reading!"
