As a freelance translator, former banker and entomological consultant I translate from English into German and vice versa (native German speaker).

My areas of specialization are:

- scientific texts or books (entomology,
biology, chemistry)

After my graduation from Berlitz Language School with a Diploma as Foreign Language Correspondent (English) in 1987 I gained considerable experience in working as a translator and interpreter (including 4 weeks simultanous interpreting of a travel guide on a bus trip through Australia).

Recent projects included translation of leaflets and order forms, the book 'The Mason Bees: Apiculture without effort' by Chris O'Toole, several scientific papers or articles, and several veterinary documents.


I have 10 years work experience in the middle management of a major German savings bank. Furthermore, after receiving my MSc in Biology from University of Oxford I am proceeding with my entomological research and do survey work. My hobbies include cooking and baking, hence, my passion for cookbooks.
