: Sorry at the first instance I have agreed but after doing further study, I disagree over this answer, because it is very clear from first sentence which could be translated like " Head office posts journal entry for sales of products collectively"

: These phrases (売り上げ and 売り here have the same meaning) refer to the recording/posting of sales for accounting/settlement purposes. In this case, this is not done by the sales office/dept. but by the controlling company.
