drill gauge

"tracing gauge" is not a commonly understood term and seems to have been invented by the German company used in Marcus' example. The correct English term varies as the German term is broad and can apply to numerous devices. However, the German term most commonly seems to refer to what is normally called a "drill gauge": see references below.
