A combination of the above (not of all, though)... Aug 12, 2009

plus a notable physical expansion of my middle section (supposedly embanked by the armrests of my sitting device one day, given that I don't grow around and finally incorporate the compound, who knows).
@Arms/wrists: I truly enjoy my split keyboard and recommend it!

Eyes Aug 12, 2009

I don't wear glasses, but I've been experiencing some problems with my eyes lately (eye strain and fatigue), especially after long 'marathon' translations. I think that the fluorescent lights in my office are to blame. I will try to change the lights and get a larger monitor (I have a 21" monitor) with higher resolution.

but I crack my neck a couple of times a day, otherwise I get massive headaches. It's been that way since I took up the profession, more than 10 years ago.

Other - My hair Aug 12, 2009

I play with my hair a lot! It's stress-relieving! I wish I could wear a hat to work... I've considered bringing a troll doll, so that I can rip its hair out instead of my own.

wrist and back Aug 12, 2009

My back bothers me when I spend long days (up to 18 hours) sitting in the office.
Also, I get pain in my wrists from typing so much.

I have carpal tunnel syndrome.
I purchased keyboard and mouse specifically designed for this occupational disease, but I am not comfortable with them, therefore I don't see any benefit so far.
Is anyone out there willing to share experience who gone through surgergy for this dreaded disease?

... I would recommend voice recognition software. It may helps...

As interpreter my "big" problem is always the noise (I can´t support it) and my voice (smoooooooooth),

Mabel
