significance test

Or "test of significance" (test yerine testing ifadesi de kullanılıyor)

identify which groups of means differ significantly

I know this isn't a literal translation. But you will find it is used almost exclusively in regard to post hoc significance tests such as Duncan's MRT or Tukey's test. Both of these are used to find subsets of the means such that, the means within each subset do not differ from each other.

So, it's a control of significance, but a very particular one.

agree Yunus Can ATLAR : DLyons, why dont you offer the term "control of significance" , its already embedded in your answer!

control of significance (levels)

This is closer to the source text, but maybe doesn't explain how the term seems to be used in the Turkish literature (mainly regarding specific tests in areas such as Agronomy, Medicine and where one is not too concerned with Type I error).

I'm posting it as a possible alternative following Dorlion's suggestion (and am happy to withdraw it if anyone feels two answers are excessive).
