Discussion

Tim Drayton Jun 22, 2012:
with same day effect It may be useful to study the way that the phrase 'with same day effect' is used in this example:

https://www.corporate-clients.commerzbank.com/files/terms_co...

"The debit turnover from the use of the Card which is charged to the Card account shall be set off against the credit balance in
the account with same-day effect."

But the intention here is obvious, as Tim explains...

I agree with Tim that this is the first time, as far as I remember, that I come across with this term within an accounting context.
Tim Drayton Jun 22, 2012:
deduct forthwith I agree with Levent Oğuz's answer.

The meaning of the term '0 valör' is explained here:

pdb.kulturturizm.gov.tr/.../1774,dto-kurum-kullan...
"0 (Sıfır) Valörlü Dosya yüklemesi; Dosya hazırlandıktan sonra mutlaka çok dikkatli kontrol edilmeli ve doğru dosya sisteme yüklenmelidir. DTO sistemi iş akışında dikkat edilmesi gereken en önemli husus 0 (sıfır) valör ödemeli (ödeme günü aynı gün olan) dosyalardır."

I find it surprising to see this term used in the context of a commercial rather than banking transaction, but I would recommend the use of the phrase 'deduct forthwith' as exemplified in the following quote:

http://www.newhopeborough.org/documents/PROFESSIONALSERVICES...
"Applicant also agrees that a five (5%) administrative fee will be added to all applicable charges invoiced to the Applicant’s escrow account and that this fee will be added to the total of each Borough invoice and be deducted forthwith from the escrow account."
