tendon attachment or insertion point vs. enthesis
From the Hebrew it is not clear if the author is describing the anatomical point of attachment on the bone (a ridge or a recess) or if describing the soft tissue that binds the tendon to the point of attachment on the bone. Enthesis is the term that describes the tissue itself (fibrocollagen or fibrin). Rheumatologists differentiate inflammation of the actual tissue at the insertion point in the bone vs. inflammation of the bone itself. 2 different conditions.
Note from asker:
Thank you. I have chosen "partial tear at the region of the tendon insertion" (it is about the greater trochanter pain syndrome). |
