Hebrew to English Other History memoirs of a partisan
The narrator has survived the first massacres in the town and is planning to join the partisans. He and a friend are going around and buying all kinds of weapons to take with them into the forest with the partisans.

Does anyone know what ׳אובריז׳ refers to?

sawed-off gun

The Russian word "obrez" (обрез) is used here, it means a sawed-off gun
Note from asker:
Thanks! I know that the Hebrew רובה קצוץ־קנה means sawed-off shotgun, but what I needed, was how to write the foreign (in this case Russian) word in English letters, so "obrez" solves that for me!
