Sebastian Witte (asker) Sep 20, 2014:
Just for clarification, David (Thank you for the translation). The term Exposition is actually defined in the brief: "... dass die Rasierklingen über die konkave Kontaktfläche vorstehen, also insoweit eine positive Exposition aufweisen."
Sebastian Witte (asker) Sep 19, 2014:
Context Wie anhand der einzelnen Werte in den genannten Tabellen unmittelbar ablesbar ist, weisen sämtliche Klingen aller vermessenen Verletzungsformen fast durchgängig negative Expositionen aus.

[See above for sentence that I need help with.]

Bei diesen minimalen Abweichungen von dem ansonsten einheitlichen und vor allem eindeutigen Gesamtbild handelt es sich offensichtlich um auf Ungenauigkeiten in der Produktion der konkreten Verletzungsformen zurückzuführende Ausreißer.

Only the randomly selected samples from the XX series .....show slightly postive indications of possible injury

and my take on this sentence:

Wie anhand der einzelnen Werte in den genannten Tabellen unmittelbar ablesbar ist, weisen sämtliche Klingen aller vermessenen Verletzungsformen fast durchgängig negative Expositionen aus.

As can be clearly seen from the results (presented) in the tables above, none of the blades examined produces any measurable degree of injury.

in light of your additional info forget anything with "injury" ... probably something like "protrusion"
Something went wrong...
4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I think protusion might work for Exposition, even though we actually went with exposure. "At" should be correct for the 2nd instance of bei I had a doubt about as for this sort of meaning of the German preposition AFAIK it's the only way to go. But then, I am not an English-speaking physicist or patent attorney (these people are engineers, by the way, not German attorneys/Rechtsanwälte)."
