German term
berufsgenossenschaftliche Heilbehandlung
German to English
Medical
Medical: Health Care
This is a term which appears at the top of a doctor's letter in a list of the particular types of medicine practised at the surgery (such as Sportmedizin, Akupuntur, Chirotherapie etc.). I know what it means (i.e. that treatment is provided for patients covered by the Berufsgenossenschaften), but I am having difficulty rendering it in English. Any ideas?

treatment covered by workers' compensation
Since it's the workers' compensation board (or employers' liability insurance association) that pays for this treatment it's perhaps better to reformulate this in terms of coverage (as you almost did above). See Google search below for examples.

Note from asker:
Thanks Darrel, that seems like a good solution that doesn't take up too much room. I also just discovered this link, which would appear to back up your suggestion: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workers'_compensation#Worker.27s_compensation_in_Germany |
The link didn't work: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Workers'_compensation#Worker.27s_compensation_in_Germany |

therapeutic treatment provided by the Institution for Statutory Accident Insurance and Prevention
I know, it's awfully long but all other translations found i.r.o. Berufsgenossenschaft appear inadequate.
Note from asker:
Thanks Anne-Mette. I think it could also be from more than one institution, because I think there are several. |
