: Ich würde auch den allgemeineren Ausdruck bevorzugen, weil "Braunüle" längst nicht mehr nur für die Katheter der Firma Braun verwendet wird. Auch "i.v. catheter" möglich.

I agree that Braunula is not very common in English medical texts, but I am quite sure that we have to take "cannula" rather than catheter.
