Chain (picture) Just dropped this into my personal gallery. The chain is visible on the upright at the right.

You're absolutely right, I'm also no digital native. The photos are on a website http://www.paulmichl-gmbh.de/index.php?article_id=76&clang=0... I haven't a clue how to upload them - always willing to learn. I appreciate your attempts to help!

If pictures are available, show them!!! By trade I'm no linguist but it surprises me everytime that askers (with little technological background) rarely display images in a cloud so more light can be shed on the matter. Sometimes it takes forever to understand what one is dealing with in his/hers own MT to begin with, let alone one has to translate that! The eternal dilemma: linguists with no technical background vs tech-experts with no feeling for languages. In this particular case images are present. Try tiny-pic... or any other cloud service.

Hi, thanks for replying. The trailor transports a mobile separator and all the sides flap right down. On the photos I can't see any chains at all - or straps for that matter. That's not much help is it.
Yorkshireman Jan 15, 2014:
Dropside trailer? Is this about a trailer with a tailboard at each end, or a trailer with drop sides that are in two sections, one at the front and one at the back of the trailer for side loading/unloading?
freekfluweel Jan 15, 2014:
door chain door strap

chains

'Front bed and tailgate chains...'

Example sentence:

Tailgate chains are sold in pairs.
