Glossary entry (derived from question below)
German term or phrase:
ab Vierzig
English translation:
forty-something
German term
ab Vierzig
"Perfekte Pflege für die Haut ab Vierzig"
I have a problem with the "ab Vierzig" bit.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

The Best Care for Forty-Something Skin (and Beyond)!

According to Us Weekly, Marcia keeps her forty-something skin soft and smooth with luxurious (and pricey) Crème de la Mer.

Alternatively, you could say "Superior skin care for forty-somethings"

Plus it doesn't give the impression that 40-90 is one age-group

into your forties
There are many simples things you can do as far as anti-aging skin care, and many don't require topical creams, serums or lotions to keep you looking and feeling your best. Provided you follow a healthy diet and exercise plan, protect yourself from the sun and keep your skin hydrated regularly, you'll be able to keep your youthful glow well into your forties and beyond.http://www.antiagingsecrets.co.uk/skin.php

: Skin keeps changing. The moisture and nutrition sufficient in one's 20s is not enough when one is 40+ - I speak from experience. And I need to know that skin care is suitable for my age - lies don't help. :-)

Technically speaking, yes I agree, but "into your forties" possibly sounds better to those of us who are already the wrong side of 40.

Try "for skin over". You have to sort the wheat from the chaff, but there are plenty of relevant hits for skin over lots of ages.

: ... // one-third of your hits are for "care" as a verb, another third are for "skin + noun" (skin disease, skin cancer patients). But the other third are, well, proof that naturalness is in the eye of the beholder :-)

I confess I'm not sure what you mean. It's not "care for skin", it's "perfect care" and "for skin over forty". Try google; it will tell you that "care for skin" is common and natural-sounding. www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q="care for skin"&meta=
