German term

alleinverfügungsberechtigter Inhaber nachfolgender Vertragsschutzrechte

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) License Agreement / Lizenzvertrag
I guess it means something like this:

owner and exclusive holder of the right of disposal of the following contractual proprietary rights --

but has anyone come across this "alleinverfügungsberechtigt" and knows a better translation?

Thank you, that was very helpful and sweet of you. I meant to point out that the German was written in one word, not in two as in the dicct quote.

PS it's sole and *not* exclusive: this a not a throw-away couplet. The ultimate owner of the riight or distributorship may still retain a right of 'control' = the holder or (sub-)distributor has sole but not exclusive right.

According to the German that does not spell out allein und ausschließlich, the patentee is the sole - but not necessarily the exclusive - owner. What scenario does that cover? For instance, if he has agreed with the licensee to assign the latter the patent on expiry.
Note from asker:
Thank you, that looks really good. The person in question IS the owner of the patent for something he has invented, and giving a license to use it to someone else but keeping some control. Would that mean that "exclusive" fits here or not? (Sorry if I am slow to understand this.)

Perhaps then you, no doubt carrying professional indemnity insurance, can explain why a US American Attorney-at-Law objected to 'exclusive dealership' for Alleinvertriebsrecht and insisted it was a sole distributorship.

Exclusive owner ....

of the following contractually protected licenses:

Proprietor mostly relates to real property, i.e. you can be the PROPRIETOR of a restaurant business, the premises of which you are leasing from the building's OWNER; rights here are probably some sort of licenses. If you are the exclusive (or sole) owner of something, it's implicit that you also are 'allein verfügungsberechtigt'

to have exclusive right of disposal of sth. [e.g. account]
Note from asker:
Thank you - I know that, as you can see from my draft translation. I am looking for a more elegant translation of this "alleinverfügungsberechtigt" written in one word.
