German term

ohne Klausel

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) in a footballer's contract
"2-Jahresvertrag ohne Klausel"

No more context I'm afraid. Seems to be a standard term in footballers' contracts.

without a (sports) release clause

I take it that the clause they are talking about here is the so-called "Hau-ab-Klausel" (or "Freigabeklausel" in no-slang German). Soccor players apparently often try to negotiate a "way out."

See http://www.dict.cc/deutsch-englisch/Freigabeklausel.html

agree Kim Metzger : Makes sense. Also referred to as an Ausstiegsklausel.

agree Peter Downes : "Ohne Klausel" is supposed to provide loyalty, until the next highest bidder comes in. For reference, look at the case of Mario Gomez, has a contract but then Bayern come knoking on the door!!

without any special clauses

I'm assuming that your context is something other than the contract itself. This is what I'd use in the absence of any other context. Often it refers to a Weiterverkaufsklausel, one that allows the player to be sold to another team.

Unrestricted (as to confidentiality/disclosure)

Unrestricted by any confidentiality or non-disclosure requirements.

Da handelt es sich wahrscheinlich um Schweigeklausel über das Gehalt im Arbeitsvertrag.
