German term

Projekteinwerbung

German to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy
Context: Prämien für gute Projekte ausstellen/ oder Projekteinwerbungen implementieren

This word is often found on other university sites, but I would appreciate an English equivalent.

Sarah, can you at least tell us what you've found. Might be helpful to have in the glossary? Thanks
Jonathan MacKerron Oct 21, 2006:
in case you didn't know, the Leo online dictionary can be helpful for these kinds of things, check out:

project fund-raising

is how I see it
Note from asker:
A couple minutes after I posted the question I found Einwerbung (fundraising) at leo as well. I usually do use that first, then proz kudoz, but didn't manage to stop the question before I received replies. Thank you for responding.

implementing acquired projects

not sure, but from the minimal context given my question is are we talking about the "einwerben" OF projects and not the "einwerben" of funds FOR projects, as Jonathan interprets it?

project acquisition

"Projekteinwerbung" is the process of obtaining a project (which somebody is contracting out) or the support (resources etc.) to carry out a project (in this respect similar to fund-raising). "Project acquisition" should capture this concept adequately.
