When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

(item x) has so far not been handed in
(item x) has not yet been handed in
So far, no one has reported x as having been found.
Agree with MarionJ.W. that a passive construction is called for here to avoid the use of 'he/she' as in your original formulation.

Armorel Young
: Doesn't have to be passive, since you could say "No one has reported having found x".

Yes, indeed. The main thing is to avoid the agonising choice between personal pronouns.

philgoddard
: You could express this more concisely, though: "X has not yet been reported found".

Turns out to have been more straightforward than anyone could have imagined. I have voted it non-pro.

: I agree with Armorel too. You could say: Until now, no one has reported having found item x"

At this point, item X has not been registered as found
Example:
"With 227 diamonds registered as found at the park just so far this year, tourists have good reason to hold out hope." http://scienceburger.com/esperanza-diamond-8-52-carat-gem-fo...

Thanks for the note. Yes, I screwed up my explanation. This is how it was supposed to come out:
The German is not merely saying that the item has NOT been found, nor is it saying that NO finder reported it found (No one has reported having found..). What it does say is that it has NOT been entered into the system as found.
