chassis and suspension Ich würde wahrscheinlich im allgemeinen Teil von chassis (als Sammelbegriff zu frame und suspension) reden und wenn es um Einstellungen an Federbein, etc geht zu suspension wechseln.

"chassis" is for vehicles with more than two wheels

I was referring to what people out there actually say. Bikers talk of the frame, while car drivers refer to the chassis - although a bike consisting of everything minus the engine is called a "rolling chassis". Strict tech-speak is perhaps a different matter!

disagree David Moore (X) : To me, it is more natural to talk of "the frame and suspension" than "the chassis and suspension". From which I get the impression that the chassic covers both frame AND suspension. On a motor-bike, at least.
